We are Ryan and Lottie, a wildlife-and-travel obsessed couple from the UK that met in University whilst studying Zoology & Evolutionary Biology.

Over the past few years we have tried to explore our planet’s wildlife and wonders. In 2023/24 we spent 8 months backpacking some of Australasia’s spectacular wildlife destinations. From our experiences of witnessing the tiger and leopard filled forests of India, the jungles of Sumatra, and the pristine underwater worlds of Indonesia and Australia, we created The Wildlife Travel Blog to share our journey and help inspire others embark on their own.

This blog is our guide and shared experiences of attempting to explore the world and see wildlife up close (and ethically!) whilst on a backpacking budget.

We hope our page can help likeminded nature lovers to get out and witness some of our planet’s most spectacular wildlife. And along the way, we hope to explore some of the most eye-opening and intriguing cultures and people.
